Clarence Weldon Beck, 75, of 321 Greer Ave., died Saturday, March 25, 1995, at 12:45 p.m. in Evangeline of Archdale after several months of declining health.
Mr. Beck was born in Davidson County Feb. 16, 1920, to John and Zina Grubb Beck. He had been a resident of the High Point area most of his life and was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was first married to Pauline Byerly, and then to Dorothy Weaver, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Larry (Joyce) Floyd of St. Cloud, Fla., Mrs. Marvin (Charlotte) Edwards of Martinsville, Va., and Donna Norris of Archdale; son, Clarence L. Beck of Light Road in Thomasville; sister, Mrs. Walter (Louise) Scarlette of Thomasville; brothers, Johnny Beck of Marion, N.C., Lawrence Beck of High Point, Richard Beck of Passagula, Miss., and Bill Beck of Thomasville; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Cumby Eastchester Drive Chapel with the Rev. Peter C. Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Clarence married Byerly, Pauline on 6 Oct 1939 in Roanoke, Virginia. USA, and was divorced on 31 May 1966 in Randolph, North Carolina, USA.
