THOMASVILLE — John Franklin Beck, 79, of Rt. 2 died at his home Wednesday. Funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at the Emanuel United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with the Rev. Aubrey W. Hedrick officiating. Burial will be at the church.
A native of Davidson County, he was a retired carpenter for the Beeson Hardware Co., High Point.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Zena Grubb Beck; daughter, Mrs. Walter Scarlett of Thomasville; sons, Lawrence Beck of High Point, Clarence Beck of Thomasville, John W. Beck of Marion, Richard Beck of Mississippi, Billy Ray Beck of Thomasville; sisters, Mrs. Gertie Sechrist and Timey Beck of Thomasville; brothers, Will Beck and Lank Beck, both of Thomasville.
The family will be at Siler Funeral 7–9 p.m. today.
